Sadly, Days Gone is ultimately left rounding off the list of brilliant standalone games that deserved a sequel, but unfortunately never got one.

In 2022, the anime film Whisper of the Heart got a live-action sequel that most fans never even heard of, which is a shame since it’s a hidden gem.
